We saw Squeeze and the B-52s Saturday night at the Greek Theatre. We were with a fun friend, the same friend we saw the B-52s with last year at the Hollywood Bowl.

For those who don’t know, the Greek is a beautiful place to hear and see music. I don’t go there as often as I should, but I appreciate each and every visit.

Back to the music… The B-52s are a good time. They still bring it and they still have fun. That vibe is a gift to the audience, and we end up having fun as well. My only complaint (and it’s not really a complaint) is they don’t play “Dance This Mess Around.” That’s my fave. But I don’t hold it against them. They’re just too danged cute!

For me, Squeeze was the highlight. I love Squeeze more than butter. They sounded awesome and I danced my worries away during their set. As our seats were pretty danged close, I apologize to all the folks behind me who were sitting.

When all was said and done, I was a grinning fool. And for the few times when Chris Difford smiled at me as I danced alone and mouthed every word, I beamed even more. That music is part of my life’s soundtrack. Still is. I hope the band had as much fun as I.

I’m smiling right now, just thinking about it!
