So – new website. If the banner photo doesn’t remind you of Bowie’s “Loving the Alien” then allow me to plant that in your brain hole. You’re welcome.

For the record, I don’t enjoy having my photo taken. It’s quite torturous, actually. But when I had an opportunity to sit with photographer Karen Jerzyk, I jumped at the chance. Her work is so cool, it makes me weak in the knees. Besides, it was time for a website update. Past time.

My pursuit of Art in everyday life has expanded in ways I hadn’t expected (writing for publications, collaborating on a musical, developing a manuscript). That’s good! And a bit scary. Chasing one’s dreams is a beautiful gift. As I open this box and tear away bits of patterned paper, I see glimpses of what’s inside – the shimmer, the work, the joy, the disappointments. It’s all there. Just like life.

Sometimes it hurts to grow, but it’s still worth it. I love being alive, even when I’m lost in darkness. I refuse to stop looking for the light. And I’ll take it any way I can get it. Even now – I can just make out the next few steps of living. And so I reach for the beautiful blue fingers of whatever comes next…
