I don’t remember where I found this. Maybe it found me.

 

I do remember it being credited to Ira Glass of NPR’s “This American Life” fame. I love listening to “This American Life.” It’s quality radio. And it never fails to move me.

 

Anyhoo, when I read this, it really struck me. In this world of instant gratification, we forget that time is very often required to achieve success. Like Veruca Salt of “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory,” we want it now!

 

But now isn’t always a possibility. Rarely, in fact. And that is why we simply must keep going – with whatever it is we do. We simply must.

 

The world needs our creations. The world needs our ideas. The world needs us.

 

I may not know a lot, but I do know that.
