While at Rock Camp this past summer, a totally rad volunteer showed up one day wearing one of the very coolest items a gal can don: Caped Wonder Woman socks. I was so dorked out by her hosiery, I knew I had to have my own.
The thing about super hero socks is that no one has to know you’re wearing them. You can put them on beneath long pants and boost your energy. In wearing them, you can feel the personal power to deal with whatever life throws into your path. And honestly, you can just smile at how very cool your socks are.
I got mine at ThinkGeek.com and I’m only telling you this in the interest of sharing. (The fine folks at ThinkGeek are completely unaware of my existence, y’all.) They have a variety of caped character socks available, so if you’re more of a Batman type, you’re not limited to Wonder Woman, yo.
Maybe your life is so danged swank, you don’t need any help getting yourself amped. I hope that’s true for you. As I am exploring the gifts of all my imperfections, however, I take help anywhere I can get it. I mean, some days it’s challenging to be me.
But not today, for today – I am a super hero.
