A lot of towns have their charms. Los Angeles is no exception.

Recently, over the course of 2 days, I sweltered in 100+ degree temperatures, cooled off in a 78-degree pool, helped a well-known and successful comic assemble furniture for an industry showcase, traversed Dodgers-play-off traffic, hugged a tree (literally) and immediately had an attack of the sneezies, screened letters hand-written by children for local U.S. Veteran residents, made the acquaintance of an autistic dog, attended a gallery opening for the amazing photographer – Hugh Kretschmer, and took part in a meeting held at a home where 7 Emmy Awards reside on a mantel.

Now I ask you – where else can you do all that in a mere 48 hours?
