It’s Tax Day here in America. And that means a lot of last-minute filings for loads of people.
If you’re one of the lucky ducks getting a refund, you may have filed already so that you can get that cold, hard cash back from Uncle Sam as quickly as possible. Some of us (ahem), however, owe the gub-ment, and we’re the procrastinators. Yes, we’re the ones desperately trying to figure out schedules and deductions and whether or not we can get away with this, that or the other. (This one is serious, friends. I know 2 people who were recently audited. Ouch.) We are also the ones lined up around the block, impatiently waiting our turn to get into the post office lot before the midnight cutoff for that all-important date stamp. With the way we be acting, you’d almost think we didn’t see this coming.
