The Sunday morning news shows all seemed to focus on this week’s tragedy in Connecticut. I’ve received emails from friends, asking that we all ask our political leaders to focus on ways to improve our safety. Even Saturday Night Live opened with a children’s choir singing a song of peace.
I don’t know what to say, friends. Like you, I have a heavy heart. I don’t have any answers, and I don’t really know where to begin looking. Life is complicated. And any time I think otherwise, the rug is yanked out from under me.
So I pray. And I ache. And I pray some more. I love this world. I love life. Quite simply, I love. I wish love for all of us. Especially for those of us with heavy hearts.
