Yesterday I stopped by the post office to check on a letter’s weight. Only I couldn’t check on the weight, because that particular post office’s systems were down and they weren’t able to conduct any business whatsoever, other than to sell stamps – for cash.

 

As a fan of the post office, I was disappointed as I headed out the door, business unfinished. I mean, really. A post office does what?
