A while back I wrote about planting a lemon tree, named Blaze. Once I put her in the ground, all I could do was wait and see if she was gonna turn out. Or not. Really, it could have gone either way.
But you know what? It went great! Blaze has about a jillion baby lemons on her branches, and she’s only a few feet high. That girl – she really wants to shine.
I know some of the baby lemons aren’t going to make it. But I’m super-looking forward to watching the rest of Blaze’s fruit reach maturation. I don’t particularly enjoy paying so much for lemons at the store, and they’re nothing like home-grown. Fingers crossed, Blaze will continue to shine on. And then some.
