This little gal is a companion piece to St. Lucy, which is gi-normous.

 

I wanted something to go with the big girl, so she wouldn’t feel so lonely. Mister had taken some side shots of the statue shown in St. Lucy, so I referred to one of those for St. Lucy II.

 

I’m not gonna lie – I didn’t particularly enjoy painting this one. I think that’s because I’d already painted this subject. It felt like going over the same old territory, and it was a slog.

 

But that’s the way life is sometimes. You just have to keep on keeping on until the task at hand is checked off your list. Now that I’ve checked this one off, St. Lucy will never be lonely again.
