A couple of months ago Mister and I visited Kayenta Community, home of Coyote Gulch Art Village, outside St. George, Utah. To me, it was a typical “colony” of the artistic persuasion. It was cute. The galleries made for good eye candy. The cafe was darling. You know – typical.

When I visit this sort of artistic area, I window-shop. Window-shop, y’all. I’m not a buyer during these visits. And this recent outing would have been the same, but Mister spotted something that struck his fancy and that was all it took. And that’s how we ended up with a House Bat hanging outside our back door. It’s pretty fabulous, if I do say so myself.

Mister hasn’t named the little dude yet, but I’m sure he will. Eventually. After all, he’s going to pass it every single day and “Hey, Bat!” probably won’t sit too well after a while. Ideas, anyone?
