This town, I swear. You can be minding your own business, driving down a residential street, when suddenly you have to slam on the brakes for a double-take, just to make sure you aren’t hallucinating. Most of the time – in Los Angeles – your eyes are not deceiving you.

So when I spotted the above photo’s subject, I pulled over. I then snapped this…

And this…

And this…

And this…

Put them all together, and you get this, my friends…

Das right. The Ghostbusters-Mobile. I walked around it and took photos for a few minutes, along with every other person who happened past and was paying attention.

I was so happy to have had my eyes open. I know I harp on that all the danged time, but it really does matter. I could have passed that vehicle in a few short seconds and it never would have existed in my little world. But that’s not the way it went down. I was open to my surroundings, to my life.

If you think about it, we all have to be open to our own lives. After all, it’s on us to traverse this theme park we call living. On us and no one else. I mean really, who you gonna call, if not yourself?
